During our expedition to one of China's National Parks, we were fortunate to have an engaging conversation with a small group of rangers and learned the diverse challenges they need to deal with as a routine. These challenges left us wondering: can we create a tool for the rangers? That was where this project began.

 

Shaochen Zhu is the team leader, responsible for the engineering and technology of the product. Passionate about aerospace and drone technology, Shaochen is skilled in designing and building drones using SolidWorks, 3D printing, and programming with Arduino and Python. Chenchen is a G11 student at RDFZ, where he also serves as the president of Aerospace Club.

 

Qikun Dang's responsibilities include research and understand the customer needs, define the features and applications of the product and assist   Shaochen to develop the product. Qikun is interested in mountain survival and familiar with computer hardwares and main stream development boards such as raspberry, Arduino, etc. Aiden is a G9 student at SUIS Gubei.  

 

Zhiyang Feng is responsible for sales and marketing as well as financial modeling. Zhiyang well understands marketing research, marketing promotion engines, financial model in business plan. Zhiyang is strong in logic thinking and he is a G11 student at The Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University.

 

Our aspiration is that the RFA is not just a tool, but a trusted companion of the rangers, enhancing the beauty of our forests, expanding the reach of environmental conservation, and fostering a deeper relationship between humanity and the natural world.
